Meteorological Oceanographic buoys are automatic meteorological observation stations for marine hydrology and water quality. It mainly consists of observation buoys anchored at sea. Marine hydrology, water quality and other meteorological data required for marine scientific research, offshore oil (gas) development, port construction, and national defense construction can be continuously collected for a long time in accordance with the requirements of regulations, especially the bad weather and sea conditions that are difficult for survey ships to collect.
The data observed by the Coastal and Island Observatory of Meteorological Buoys, which can only reflect the situation in offshore and island waters, but they cannot play a role in ocean navigation. The establishment of marine buoys can solve this problem. An ocean buoy is an unmanned automatic ocean observatory that is fixed in a designated sea area and fluctuates with the waves, just like the beacons on both sides of the waterway. Although it is not conspicuous in the sea, the effect is quite big. It can work in any harsh environment for a long time, continuously and 24/7, and regularly measure and report various hydrological and water quality meteorological elements on a daily basis.
