The steel spar buoy is a type of marine buoy used for various purposes such as navigation, marking hazards, or monitoring offshore environments. It is typically a vertical cylindrical structure that is anchored to the seafloor by a long tether. We have all sizes of spar buoys, if you have needs, please don't hesitate to contact us.
The float is made of welding the upper and lower heads and cylinders, bulkheads, etc., and is divided into four sealing cabins, two of which are damaged and enter the water, and the buoy is still floating and will not sink into the water. Three lifting lugs are provided for hoisting and connecting the saddle chain on the upper and lower rings of the buoy, and one additional chain link is provided for single-chain connection. Set up two anode zinc blocks to protect the buoy.
The center pipe is made of high-quality carbon steel 20# seamless steel pipe, and the plate is composed of CCSB hull structural steel formed and welded.
The color and thickness of the surface painting can be carried out according to the customer's requirements.
Main Features:
Structural Design:
Float shape: Steel buoys usually have a deep draft (i.e. the part that extends below the water surface), and are a mast-like structure with a relatively simple but stable structure.
Lower counterweight: There is generally a counterweight device at the bottom of the buoy to ensure that it remains vertically stable on the sea surface, especially in rough seas.
Upper marking: The top of the buoy is often equipped with marking facilities such as lights, flags, or radar reflectors to alert ships, aircraft, or other offshore facilities.
Uses:
Navigation marking: Steel buoys are often used for channel marking, warning of dangerous areas (such as underwater rocks or shoals), or marking specific locations.
Offshore platform: Sometimes used as a marker for offshore oil platforms, natural gas platforms, or wind power platforms to help identify the location of the platform.
Marine environment monitoring: Steel buoys can carry sensors and instruments to monitor marine data such as seawater temperature, salinity, wave height, etc.
Offshore anchorage: Some buoys are also used as anchor points for ships or floating platforms.
