What is Rotational Molding?

It is a method of filling the quantitative powder resin into a cold mold, driving the mold around two vertical shafts by a rotational molding machine to carry out slow revolution and rotation, while heating the mold with an external heating source, so that the resin powder melts and evenly coats the surface of the entire mold cavity with its own gravity, and finally obtains hollow products after cooling and demoulding. 

What are the main features of rotational molding process?

1, the cost of rotational mold is low:  when we compare with the cost of the product with same specification, the cost of rotational mold is much lower than the cost of blow molding and injection mold;

2, The edge strength of rotomolded products is good, and rotomolding can make the thickness of the edge of the product to be thicker, and solve the problem of thin edge of hollow products;

3, Rotational molding can be placed in a variety of inlays;

4, The shape of the rotomolded product can be complex;

5, Rotational molding can produce fully enclosed products;

6, Rotomolded products can be filled with foam material to achieve thermal insulation;

7, No need to adjust the mold, the wall thickness of the rotomolded product can be adjusted freely;

8, The product is hollow and seamless, but the wall thickness can be adjusted to make the product have good strength;

9, It can provide a variety of surface pattern treatment, and produce products with variety colors.

 What are the main Application of Rotomolding Products?

     With the continuous development of the rotational molding process, the types of rotational molding products are increasing, and the scope of applications is also expanding. At present, the industries involved in rotomolding products include transportation, traffic safety facilities, entertainment industry, river channel dredging, construction industry, water treatment, medicine and food, electronics, chemical industry, aquaculture, textile printing and dyeing, etc.
