* Scope of application.
This standard specifies the link and accessory marking, matching requirements, link and accessory type and size, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings and storage of buoy anchor chains.
This standard applies to all kinds of steel untied welded anchor chains and accessories for navigation buoys.
* Term.
Anchor chains for buoys mooring system.
Used to moor or fix all kinds of buoys, anchor chains composed of saddle chains, short chains, half chains, full chains, etc., and attachments such as connecting shackles, end shackles, and rotating rings.
* Chain links and accessory markings.
The marking of the chain link consists of four parts, namely the link material grade, the link or accessory code, the chain link diameter and the standard code.

The forms of short chains, half chains, full chains.
2，Link length and connection requirements.
1）The length of the saddle chain should be selected according to the buoy specifications and tied to the lower hoop under the buoy's float.
2）The length of the full link is about 27.5m, and one end is a hammer, and the other end is a saddle link or a half-chain or short chain.
3）The length of the half-link is about 13.7m. One end is tied with a short link , and the other end is tied with a full link .
4) The length of the short chain link is about 4.5 m, and one end is tied with a saddle link. The other end is tied with a half-link or full-link.
5) Full, half, and short links each should have a ring.
3, Chain link and accessory connection requirements.
1) The swivel should be connected with the enlarged link/
2) The enlarged link should be directly connected to the normal link.
3) The end link should be connected to the enlarged link。
4）The connection shackle should be connected to the end link.
5）The end shackle should be connected to the release body and the end chain link, and its transverse tip should be attached to the lower hoop of the buoy or the sleeping hoop.
